[poem edited for “clarity”]
Once upon a midnight dreary, while eye pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of hormonal teens —
While eye nodded, nearly dead, suddenly there came a Discord happening,
As of some one gently muttering, screaming in my channel galore
“’Tis some adolescent,” eye muttered, “whining in my channel —
Only this and nothing more.”
Quoth [Adam Xu] “Nevermore.”

[Rosetti, “Color”]
What is red? a poppy's red
In its barley bed.
What is yellow? pears are yellow,
Rich and ripe and mellow.
What is orange? Why, it’s ORANGE,
COSMOS ORANGE!

There once was a karaoke night,
Where everyone felt very right.
Then two trucks came in,
Plundered with sin,
People then quickly took flight :(

From the beginning to the end,
We were winning with our friends,
Forging brotherly connections,
“This is great,” the pupils said,
Carbon atoms and weird mammals,
All the coolest parts of STEM,
So before we leave, we must commend,
Thank you, Dr. Chen.

“COSMOS Discord workouts were honestly so wholesome. Everyone was cheering each other on. Also may or may not have been the only exercise I got this summer.”

“Favorite memories about my cluster would probably be all the inside jokes that we made, as well as getting close to each other, and sharing lots of funny moments together.”

“Shaowei's rice is holy, Alex plays music way too loud at the beginning of lectures, and Professor Shawn Noren has the same effect on me as Arcanine has on lower level pokemon.”

“I liked the virtual field trip to the SEM lab a lot. It was cool to see how an actual electron microscope works. Plus, we got to make a cool micropicture with an ion beam!”

“My favorite memory by far is our impromptu One Direction sing-along, led by Cathleen, after escape room night! Followed by much of the same at karaoke night. In our cluster, we got to streak and culture bacteria and yeast on agar plates. I'd always seen this done in videos and textbooks, but never got to put hands on it myself. It was the coolest experience and it made me very excited to get into a real lab as soon as I can.”
- --Alex Lam, C7
“Can you hear me now Cluster 12? Hanging out with you guys on Discord and being frustrated over how to count lines between dots was amazing, and even though we were online, we still got to make so many amazing memories <3. Long live Garfield and the j squad!”

“I loved the Discord servers that the COSMOS people used to talk and stuff. It was hilarious and everyone's so nice :) I also enjoyed being a part of the Macrocosm team and seeing my face on the front of the Recreational Life page! COSMOS was super fun and engaging. And I surprisingly got to know some people better than I thought I would, especially with COSMOS being online. It was a bummer that it was online this year, but I really appreciate everyone's efforts to make it just as fun and exciting and engaging. All the fun evening activities like Pizza Night and Karaoke Night were my favorite parts of the program. OMG and the raffles were fun hehe, but yeah I enjoyed COSMOS yay! Sad it’s ending ah :( Anyways it's late and I'm currently cramming cluster homework so that's all.”

“Even though COSMOS was virtual this year, I am still extremely proud of the genuine and caring community that we have all worked hard to create. Even though we weren't physically together on campus, we made the most out of every moment. This past month of challenging lessons, fascinating discovery lectures, engaging (and often hilarious) afternoon events, and hours spent chatting on Discord have truly been a unique and wonderful experience that we will all look back on for years to come. GO OCMOS!”
